When and Where is Dreamforce 2023 Being Held?
Dreamforce 2023 will be held from September 12-14, 2023 in the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. San Francisco is in fact where Dreamforce has been hosted since 2003, and it also happens to be home to the company’s headquarters. So while not much will change on that front, this year’s event promises to focus very heavily on the impact of AI on sales. Undoubtedly it will be quite unique from previous conferences.
Salesforce Dreamforce 2023 Speaking Sessions, Agenda, and an Emphasis on AI
AI is the trend of Dreamforce 2023, and Salesforce is marketing the event as an AI event, using the slogan: “Join the brightest minds shaping our future at the largest and most magical AI event ever.”
This is especially exciting for us as Altify will be a continued part of that AI story, thanks to our recently announced invitation into the generative AI partner program. There will be opportunities to learn more about our future AI roadmap during partner speaking sessions at the event, and how Altify will partner with Salesforce to deliver powerful generative AI capabilities to sellers.

Dreamforce 2023 Happy Hour – Where Cocktails, Conversations, and Account Planning Mix

Is SOMA Safe?
Many people don’t know that San Francisco itself is made up of a collection of neighborhoods, each one quite distinct and unique. Moscone Center is located in the SOMA (or South of Market Street) neighborhood. SOMA has become one of San Francisco’s most important neighborhoods, boasting a strong financial district, and a gathering space for the arts and culture.
Due to some negative publicity and an obvious homelessness problem, people tend to overstate public safety concerns in San Francisco. However, SOMA is a relatively safe area in the city, meaning you should keep your wits about you and take precautions as you would in any city. Walking to the conference and back, however, shouldn’t be an issue, especially during daylight hours.
One helpful tip with dealing with people on the street in San Francisco in general is to avoid physical contact, and don’t take anything from anyone. People will often offer you something, so they have an excuse to follow you around and ask for money.
What is there to do nearby Dreamforce 2023?
We’ll be getting into some of the highlights of the conference soon, but before that, you might like to know what some of the top things to do in the area are. As mentioned, SOMA itself has a variety of entertainment and cultural options, including the iconic Salesforce Tower. One of the top things to do in SOMA is to take a break from the busyness of the conference and stop by the Matreon Shopping Mall or have a seat at the Yerba Buena Gardens and take in the scenery.
If you are visiting for a longer stay and have extra time to kill, the Museum of Modern Art makes for an excellent visit nearby.
Things to do further away from Dreamforce 2023
Of course, San Francisco has much to offer, and one of the benefits of being in SOMA (or an adjacent neighborhood) is the proximity to even more iconic locations. We couldn’t think of a better location for Dreamforce 2023, as it’s not far from top spots like the idyllic Union Square, with all its incredible eating options and fantastic shopping. Other top attractions you would want to add to your itinerary if you are going to be in San Francisco for a while are the Ferry Building, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Chinatown.
Dreamforce Adjacent Events
While there are many potential side events you can and should consider during your stay, we’d like to suggest our two events that are especially a good fit for sales leaders looking to a) network with others who are best in the business in a more intimate setting or b) looking to get an inside look at the latest innovations from Altify, including Altify Insights.

Who are the big names speaking at Dreamforce 2023?
Speaking of AI – Sam Altman, the doomsday prepping CEO of OpenAI (the creator of ChatGPT), will be speaking at the event. A major draw for any tech nerd or AI enthusiast – you can bet!
