I enrolled at Harvard Business School after spending a few years in finance. I emailed the VP of Sales and told him that I disagreed with his decision not to hire me. Even though I didn't act or sound like the typical HubSpot salesperson in 2009, the management team thought I was smart, coachable, and could add value.
