Absence is a great measure of leadership effectiveness. But in hindsight, it’s exactly what I needed to understand my leadership strengths and weaknesses. It’s been several weeks since I returned to work, but not a day goes by without reflecting on my sabbatical in some way. I’ve been in the weeds for eight years.
