If acquiring an entire company (Essener Arbeitsschutz GmbH in 2007) was not a complex project already, the introduction of SAP (ERP, EWM, PI and BI) followed in 2009. One former manager wrote me: “in retrospect, the company simply placed too great a focus on permanent growth through acquisitions. It should have paused to breath.”

Almost all new offices in Germany resulted from short-term acquisitions of smaller regional dealers. Haberstock accepted the management of the Hamburg office in 2007. The same year, Wollschläger took over the established occupational safety manufacturer and wholesaler, Essener Arbeitsschutz GmbH. Maybe just an expensive one.
